An Ode

To all those who wake up to those annoying mornings,
Thinking, hoping, looking with eager yearnings
That today wont be as bad, that the wind died down
So you may be able to breathe peacefully...rather than frown
At all the times you sneeze, at all the itchiness that pleas
To successfully get your attention.
Yes, my friends, this is an ode
An ode of odes made in my humble abode
To all those with allergies
Whose eyes water, nose gets stuffed, to those who sneeze
To those who must be weary of that dog
Slobbering after it's mornign jog
Yes my friends, you who have allergies are truly brave people.

Thank you, thank you! All right let's get to the point...this post is to show my new-found sympathy for those who are allergic to something, mainly because I have new-found allergice reactions this year! And I now find it so annoying to wake up sneezing your head off...eyes all watery and itchy (more itchy then my poison oak). Yes, but I can't complain (though...not being used to it, I do)...you all never make a word about it, so here is my ode to you all!!!

Bravo!!! But "unfortunately" I don't have allergies so that ode and your sympathy wouldn't apply to me. :-D

OK, now here's the thing. What does everyone take; prescription as well as non-prescription? Heck, you can even put in other stuff like a movement you've started to destroy all causes of seasonal-allergies besides your cut, fuzzy, little pets. I've tried a ton of stuff that's non-prescription and they don't work.

Jeeps, who needs some tips.

Nothing really works for me. I tried Benedryl which has some GREAT knocking out power, I fell asleep within an hour or so today. But I still am sneezing and everything. Something tells me I have worse allergies than even DES in flowers!!! But honestly JP...I say take lotradine (non-prescription I think) and fire off the day with a brave face. I have no clue what works and what doesnt though...I've usually had no luck

I'm just glad I didnt find out the hard way (like I did with the pollen this spring) that I was allergic to something else...Say I ate peanut butter and figured out I was allergic to it when I was told that by St. Peter at the Gates...

A bit of info that I just read...did anybody know that allergies are caused by immunological diseases (of our immune system)?? What happens is that our immune system overreacts to certain things (in my case, pollen)and tries to get rid of it too much...Asthma is a type of allergy too (overeaction to smoke, chemicals and such in the air)! Thought of the day, eh?
